A Brief History

Decoding S.A.S. was established in April 2011 in Medellín (Colombia) as an initiative of a group of students and the University of Antioquia’s English - French - Spanish Translation program graduates, who—excited with the idea of the globalization of Medellín and the foresight of the great need to break down the barriers of communication that stunt their city’s flourishing trade and cultural exchange with other countries—decided to meet week after week to launch this project by providing ideas and economic contributions.

At that time, faced with scarce economic and technological resources, but armed with knowledge, commitment and willingness to realize its vision, Decoding received its first big contract and subsequently submitted its business proposal to the 8^th Capital Semilla contest arranged by Medellín’s local government and Banco de las Oportunidades, which then awarded it with a starting capital and one-year consultative service by experts in the field of entrepreneurship.

Decoding has, since then, consolidated itself as a company and has, in addition to its founders, partnered with an extensive network of very talented professionals from various countries—not just to integrate optimal and well-defined work processes into our own but to gain the tools necessary to fulfill all language tasks—ensuring quality, prompt and confidential service.
